For a girl who lives for movies and the Oscars.......
it sure takes me a long time to comment on them afterward.
I can't help it.
I think it's just that the whole build-up to the big event.....and then the big event itself, it just takes a lot outta me.
Kinda like a marathon or an Iron Man competition.
Yeah......that's it.
Ya see, I train for months & months (see all the nominated flicks, pickthe winners for the local paper) and then participate in the actual event (watch the show & do a LIVE-blog).......
And then I'm just beat.
I enjoyed it all immensely, don't get me wrong......but I just need to go away for a little while afterward, and not even read or talk about it anymore.
Like an athlete. A trained professional athlete.
Well...one who sits in the dark for days and eats LOTS and LOTS of buttered popcorn.
But I digress.
Here's the deal peeps.......
I am workin' on an Oscars 2009 musical video montage.
I've got the pics and I've got the tunes.
What I don't got is the time.
So......until I'm able to get on my hard drive what I have in my head, I thought I would share with you all an Oscar recap video from one of my favorite funny gals, Sarah Haskins from current.com
It's all about the supposed Oscar night "EX-plosion" between our favorite, fabulous feudin' foursome.......
Well, if you're a regular reader of this blog (of course you are!) then you're familiar with the very funny Sarah Haskins and the periodic "Target Women" pieces she does for the weekly news parody web show Info Mania on Current TV.
Guess what?
Lucky for us, she's posted a new one and it's right up our movie-lovin' alley!
Sarah takes a few well-deserved digs at the "Chick Flick" genre......and even picks on an upcoming film that I've been looking forward to for about 10 years: The Women.

Yep, gotta love it.
Two things:
1. If you enjoy Sarah and her Target Women series as much as I do, you can click this link: Sarah Haskins/Target Women and head on over to current tv to watch all of her previous work. I highly recommend the bridezilla/wedding showspiece and the one about marketing yogurtto women. Funny stuff.
2. I must say to Sarah (and all of the other avid Colin Firth fans out there....), unfortunately the handsome & sensitive Mr. Firth is currently off the market......totally taken, happily married.
Hmmm........
At least, that's what his wife's recent red (ooops, I mean blue) carpet attire at the London Mamma Mia premiere would have us believe:

Yep, she certainly looks "HAPPY."
She's totally rockin' that yellow sparkle-sequined shift with the "Have A Nice Day" logo on it.
(I'm somewhat bothered by the unfortunate placement of the eyes, aren't you?)
Well, you know what they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words."
(And the picture of that dress is definitely sayin' somethin'.)
I happen to think it's sayin':"I need to buy a mirror."
But....it's MY movie blog, and I found this video below from current.com to be quite humorous -- so it's on my movie blog.
It's called: "Target Women: Feeding Your F---ing Family"
The Current website has all sorts of news and interesting videos. I find the Target Women series to be especially humorous -- hmmm.....I have no idea why.
They have one about botox, bridezilla shows and yogurt advertising to women.
Check 'em out, I think you'll agree......they're pretty funny, and fairly accurate about some current media portrayals of women.
Attention Males: Don't worry, if you have a sense of humor -- you can safely watch 'em as well.
